Dahlia, Elias, Maria, Diego, Gregorio and Alicia: I recently heard the very sad news about Frank's untimely passing. My heart is with you, the rest of the family and loved ones.
The memories of the amazing times at your home here in Anchorage keep flooding my head – the camaraderie shared – the lessons learned through shared stories and the laughter will be forever with me. Frank taught us by example; always knowing the righteous path and engaging the entire Rainbow of folk in the community in his quest to bring fairness and find justice for all. Even as he fought the good fight for justice, Frank never lost his sense of humor and his laugh was contagious – that sustained us! Moreover, Dahlia, he loved you and family above all.
I wish you and all courage and strength as you cope with Frank's passing – always remember you have an Angel to guide and guard you.
Frank was before his time and sadly, he left us far too soon.
As they say in Ireland: Ar Deis Lamh De go Raibh a Anam (His Soul to the Right Hand of God).

HI Dahlia
Mickie and I are heart broken when my brother, Sunny, called to tell us that Frank had passed away. It took me right back to the late 80's when we were all together doing our thing in Anchorage Alaska. Dahlia 'Thank You' once again for helping me get the job in the Anchorage School District. Thank You to you and Frank for helping us get started, for the wonderful dinner gatherings and for just being there for us. It was a special time and could not have done it without you. I do remember at one dinner during the winter that a moose came to the house. Frank and I decided that we would try and feed the moose carrots. Frank tried to take a picture of the moose but the moose jumped at him. As Frank tried to get away he fell into a large pile of snow. We all laughed including Frank as he came back into the house covered in snow. Frank had a wonderful laugh. Dahlia, Mickie and I send all of our love to you and your family. Frank Via Con Dios

I first met Frank circa 1977 at the U of U. He always treated me well and was always working on projects at the student center. I'm originally from California so I found it refreshing to meet someone who identified as Chicano as I do and wanted to make a difference. My condolences to his daughter Kim and the rest of the family. Vaya Con Dios -->>>>delphi alvarado
