Frank Murray Obituary

1943 ~ 2015
Our beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather and Friend, Frank (Frankie) Steven Murray passed away on Monday February 2nd 2015, leaving a huge hole in our hearts. We all loved him so very much.
Frank was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elsie Marie Murray and Frank Rodney Murray on January 26th 1943.
He graduated from Granite High School in 1961, and then became a Salt Lake City Police Officer. He then attended the University of Utah, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in business in 1970.
He was CRAZY over being a U of U fan. You seldom saw him without his RED UTE HAT! He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Frankfurt Germany.
Upon Graduation, Frankie worked as a Ross Laboratories District Manager for years, and then went to Abbott Laboratories as their Territory Sales Manager. His last position was with Salt Lake Community College Police Academy.
Frank is survived by sons Steven (Jennica) Murray, Rodney (Kristi) Murray, Brother Michael (Cathie) Murray and Sister Pat Robison. He has several grandchildren, Alyssa, Rebecca, Laura, Shawn, Alyssa, Cameron and Ashley. Also nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents. Frankie had a heart of gold, and would do anything for anybody. Rest in peace Frankie.
A Vigil service will be held Monday February 9th, 7:00 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Committal Tuesday February 10th, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 4th Ave. & T Street.

My dearest Uncle Frankie, it breaks my heart to have to say goodbye. I have so many fond memories growing up of what a kind and loving uncle you were. Your laugh was infectious and always put a smile on everyones face.
You were a good man Uncle Frankie, this world lost a bright light and many hearts are heavy now. You will always be remembered, cherished and will hold a special place in my heart. Love you, Angie

I hired Frank at the Institute of Public Safety SLCC. One of the best decisions I ever made. He was loyal to a fault and the most organized person I ever met. We were together almost twenty years working side by side. He loved his job and the police cadets loved him. I will miss his friendship.

What a great Brother-in-Law! I will miss him, and his great laugh. That's what I hear every night since I heard he left us to go somewhere that's a much happier place.I will not forget the last time I seen him, as I received a big hug and an I Love You. Rest in Peace Frankie!
