Kristin and Tyler,
It is such a great opportunity to be your neighbors. It was super hard to hear about the passing of Gabe. He was such a great example to me. I will never forget the times when he would tease me about not liking Justin Bieber. Gabe is my hero. You guys will always be in my prayer. Just remember that Gabe is watching all of us and wants ut to move on and live our lives as he would. You guys are awesome!! Love you!!

Kristin and Tyler,
We just learned of your son's passing. We extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We loved being your neighbors in Bountiful and I often think about your two little blond boys...Cooper and Gabe. I have often chuckled about the time Cooper put a bic pen lid in his newborn brother nose!
I'm sure Gabe has been a source of much happiness to the Hanson family and will continue to inspire each one of you.
May the healing power of the Savior, Jesus Christ, bring peace to your broken hearts.

Dear Tyler and Kristen, What do you say at a time like this? Isn't it interesting that these special spirits come to us as their earthly parents with such wonderful gifts and great personality. I think the greatest accomplishment you can have in your earthly existence is to love others as Christ would have loved, and from what I have read, it sounds like Gabe did just that. To make his mark in the world loving others as it sounds like Gabe did, is a life full lived and he has left a testimony of his brother Jesus Christ by loving others as he did. Please know that all the way up here in Idaho, not even knowing Gabe personally, he has affected me and made me a better mother by committing to cherish my children more. My heart goes out to you both and I will keep you in my prayers as you navigate this difficult time ahead that will allow new growth and reliance on your Heavenly Father. All my love and thoughts and prayers. Holle (Tibbitts) McRae

Dear Hanson Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Gabe but he sounds like an extraordinary young man. Although, Gabe's passing is probably difficult, I hope you feel the love of the Savior and his tender mercies at this time. I know Gabe is close and watches over your family. Tyler and Kristen,
when I look at Gabe's sweet face, I see you both captured within him. And when I read the beautiful words by so many people, and those words as well in his amazing obituary that describe him, I find that many are exactly those that describe how you both were to me when we were in school! You were super sweet and incredibly funny, and I love to see that God blessed and wired Gabe with so many humorous, unique and vibrant qualities too, as you both lifted everybody's lives with yours. You did beautifully with him as his caring heart and gentle outreach is also what added to his wonderful character. I remember seeing you both years back with Cooper, Gabe and Gus somewhere once and was so happy hearted for your life and parenthood. As a parent myself now, I understand that amazing facet to life, and my heart so aches for your incredible heartbreak.
We are but a mere blink from being with Jesus, and may you celebrate Gabe and all those he touched and everything he experienced until that amazing time when you can experience
his touch and beautiful smile
again. love and hugs...

Sounds like your son had a lot of influence for good on people. What a perfect way to live a life. As I was out and about this afternoon, everywhere I went, I saw boys wearing pink vans. My kids and I kept pointing it out to each other. His big spirit was all over Davis County. It was special. He's already leaving a legacy, in more ways than one, I'm sure. May God be with you until you embrace your son again.

Dear Hanson Family,
We remember when your family moved into the Val Verda 2nd Ward. Cooper and Gabe were the cutest blond headed boys. Sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Gabe. The Lord needed him to serve on the other side. Our prayers are with you.

To the beautiful Hanson family, my love and soul are with you for your loss. However, I wouldn't expect an obituary any less beautiful than what I just read of your son! He sounds like he grew with the best of both his parents and siblings, and that his testimony will carry on forever. I'm thinking of you all. May you feel our Heavenly Father extra close in these hours, and have a perfectly clear understanding and vision of His Plan, bringing you comfort and a spiritual strength. You are all 'larger than life' and so strong and inspiring, just like your beautiful son. I love you all, and send my hugs your way. Love, Stephanie LeVeque.

To Gabe's Family:
I knew Gabe, not as much as I would have liked, but he would go out of his way just to say 'hi' to me and just put a smile on my face. I would just like to let you know you had a terrific son and brother. He gave a priceless example to each person, he has been a huge impact on my life. Though he may physically be gone from us for this short while, he is with us in spirit to help us. I can't wait for the day when I can stop him and talk to him, and make him smile. You have a great family member. You should be very proud of him. It's not going to be everyday you'll see someone like him.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am in California right now so I won't be able to make it to the funeral. I just want you to know that I love Gabe and that he was an amazing kid! He would always make my day at school. Tyler and family,
We were so sad to hear about the death of your son Gabriel. I remember you talking about ordaining him to the office of Teacher the same weekend our grandson Trent was ordained. I think of you, and know the great love you feel for all your children and each other. Knowledge of the plan of salvation is a comfort at a time like this, knowing you can see Gabriel again someday. He must have been a very great young man and one that our Heavenly Father needed for a purpose only Gabriel could fulfill, for him to be taken so young and so suddenly. I am sure he is already busy at work doing all the things he did here on earth that brought so much joy to so many people. We love you and have added your family name to the prayer roll at the Salt Lake Temple. Our love and best wishes and prayers to you.

I never personally met Gabe. He was a year younger than me at Farmington, but he was the talk of the school. You could tell he was the kid everyone liked and wanted to be around. I had several classes with Cooper when he went there and I know he was an amazing example to his brother. Hearing about things he did and seeing his posts on facebook, he made me laugh. I always only hoped I could be like he was. Funny, charming, and a true joy to be with. He will be missed.

Dear Hanson Family,
I don't know if you can personally remember me, but I know that you were great friends of my family and parents Marty and Kathleen Braden. I cherish the memories that I shared with your wonderful son. We were great buddies in nursery and outside of church also. In the recent past I found a picture of Gabe and I in our costumes for Halloween. I'll be sure to find it and send it to you.
In the summer of 2010 I enrolled in a Summer Gym class at Centerville Jr. High. I happened to stumble into Gabe and we made instant friends. It had been at least 6 years until I had seen him and hadn't recognized him. He mentioned my name to Kristen and you told him of our past friendship. It's amazing to me that a friendship can be so strong that it can last longer than the human memory.
Gabe was a beacon of happiness and good humor in that class. He truly made it a great experience for me. I have many friends that went to school with Gabe. In them I have seen a love and memory of him stronger than any feeling of loss or sadness. Gabe is not lost. We know right where he is. He is up in a world with all those who have gone on ahead. It will not be long before you can return to him, hug him, see his smiling face, and spend eternity with him. He's up there watching over us, and is able to be with us and offer comfort any time we ask for it.
We love you Gabe. We'll never forget the memories we shared, you'll always be with us in our hearts. I'll see you in no time. Say hi to my brothers up there for me will ya?

Gabe was such a funny kid we all miss him so much, Farmington junior was so much happier and safer with him there. We all loved watching gabe and his pink shoes walking down the hallway and brightening everyones day. He was such a good kid and so smart.we all love and miss you so much gabe. Life wont be the same without you buddy. I loved on the announcements in the morning at fjh "This is gabriella" it was the funniest thing and that wont ever be forgotten in my heart. I also loved at assemblies how if we had 5,6, or 10 minutes to spare of an assembly you would improvise. It was such an inspiration seeing you with so much confidence like you didnt care what others thought of you you cared what you thought of you and that helped me a lot. You were hilarious and i wont ever ever forget you and neither will anyone else you were and are an amazing boy.

We will miss Gabe so much. He was such a bright light of sunshine. He is with his loving Heavenly Father now. What a sweet boy. She said she could tell he was a Hanson :) I was proud to claim him!

What a wonderful tribute to your son. I do not know you, but as I read his obituary, it made me think of my son, and how much they had in common.
My son was killed 9 years ago in an auto-pedestrian accident when he was 14, so I feel your pain and know at this time your heart is breaking. I wanted to share this poem with you that I wrote for my son, I thought it might be a good fit for your son as well. May you find peace and comfort in the love of family and friends, and may God keep you in his care during this difficult time.
THE BEST !!
A light was dimmed, the day you left,
We'll never be the same.
Our hearts were filled with saddness,
The day God called your name.
You lived your life, with a happy heart,
Many sorrows you did bear.
But that did not stop, the love you had,
And so willingly would share.
Your smile was sweet, as were your ways,
Despite the trials you had.
You carried on with happiness,
And overlooked the bad.
From the very first, you made us smile,
With your funny little ways.
Your happy heart, it blessed us all,
And brightened up our days.
I guess it's true, what people say,
The good are first to go.
If that's the case, then I know know,
Why Heaven needs you so.
At night under a peaceful sky,
I glance up at the stars,
I wonder where you are up there,
I know that you're not far.
I feel you watching over me,
Somtimes, you are so near.
I sit in silence waiting,
Your voice, I hope to hear.
I know my life, was meant to be,
Full of trials so I'll learn.
But that does not take away my pain,
For you, my heart does yearn.
For now, I know,
You're safe and sound,
And resting in God's care.
Until the day, we meet again,
This sadness I must bear.
But know that I'm not always sad,
When I think of you, I smile.
And I thank the Lord, for chosing me,
To have you for awhile.
My life will never be the same,
But it's better, it is true,
Cause I was blessed, with the very best,
The day God gave me you.

Hanson Family,
My wife and I had the amazing opportunity to attend the youth conference this past week and hear Gabe's amazing testimony. We were commenting on our way home how sweet Gabe and his brother were to each other during the testimony portion of our conference. We could feel the spirit so strongly when he spoke and were privileged to know him even if it was only for 3 days in the wilderness of life (and conference)

Kristin & Tyler & family, my thoughts and prayers have been with you since Andrea told me about Gabe. My heart feels for you since I know the pain of losing a child, a pain you can never imagine. I know healing does come, but take time to mourn your loss and continue to celebrate Gabe's life and the things you have learned from him. He sounds like an amazing young man. The lessons you learn from this terribly painful but spiritual experience will make you a stronger person and can strengthen your testimony like nothing else can.
With love and prayers, Amy L. Bingham

Tyler and Kristin, I just read the news of Gabe’s passing and am truly shocked and saddened. I think I may have met him once when you introduced me to your beautiful family at Lagoon a few years ago. One can only wonder what this young man would have accomplished in his life given the opportunity as he sounds like a truly incredible kid. As the two of you are awesome in your own rights, I’m sure he would have excelled at anything he tried. Gabe was only a few months older than my own son and I can’t imagine such a terrible loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I love you guys a lot.

Kristin and Tyler,
Thank you for bringing Gabe and his amazing spirit into this world and sharing him with all of us. My heart aches for the emptiness he left in your home. Tyler has always called your children "loaners" from Heavenly Father, and we know that this separation is temporary. We love you so much.
All our hearts, Reeder Family

Our Sweet friends, our hearts are deeply saddened for you and your family. Gabe was a remarkable, vibrant young man and has touched the lives of so many around him including two of my sons, Chase and Ethan, who had the privilege of knowing him. I am so greatful for the testimony that he shared at youth conference. He truly loved his family and that was radiated through the words he spoke. He will not be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever. We pray for you always and for Gabe who's sweet spirit lives on in those he has known. WE LOVE YOU ALL! ** Garlick Family (Farmington UT)

Hanson’s,
I never met Gabe; however, in the days since your loss, Gabe’s reach has become evident. Many people that I interact with on a daily and weekly basis know your family and knew and loved Gabe.
Gabe provided service to the elderly at the Country Care retirement home while my parents were serving in that branch. While providing service my mom was drawn to Gabe as he reminded her of my son Russ who went to school with Gabe. She said how good a young man he was and how willing he was to serve.
As an advisor to the 14 and 15 year old boys in my ward, I work with the boys that went to school with and knew Gabe. To a boy, each of them that I spoke with knew and loved Gabe. He seemingly had the ability to befriend all and was admired for his friendliness, an amazing attribute for a young man in his formative years.
I am reminded of a verse that always seems to provide me comfort when thinking of the process of life.
Alma 12:24 reads: And we see that death comes upon mankind, yea, the death which has been spoken of by Amulek, which is the temporal death; nevertheless there was a space granted unto man in which he might repent; therefore this life became a probationary state; a time to prepare to meet God; a time to prepare for that endless state which has been spoken of by us, which is after the resurrection of the dead.
From what I have heard of Gabe from Russ, those in our quorum, my mom, and many others who knew him, it seems like Gabe was truly preparing himself to meet God through his deeds and actions, especially when it was for no other reason than to do the right thing.
The temporary separation for you now will certainly seem like an eternity; however the day will come when you’ll have the opportunity to spend eternity with him.
Your family is in our prays,

Tyler and Kristin, You have been our best friends for a very long time. We have so many memories with your family and Gabe. Parker and I were going through my pictures last night of the outings with the Hanson's. Boating, rinding the horses, parties at the McMillan's, New Years Eve. I wish I had even more.. Our heart aches and we will truly miss Gabe. I am so grateful to have the gospel and know about eternal life. That won't make things feel better right this second. But it is a knowledge that brings great comfort. I have never lost a child, so I have no idea and can not even comprehend this. But I do know The Savior comforts. WE are praying for you several times a day. We love your family and look forward to many more memories to come. Gabe will be near and will continue to do a great work. Jodi and Family

I read about the death of your son this morning. He sounded like a great little guy. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost a beautiful 34 year old daughter on June 27th, she was rafting and drowned. I feel your pain, and I'm so sorry. Much love

Dear Hanson Family:
My husband and I served at the Country Lane Branch. We enjoyed having your family come and share your Family Home Evening with our Precious Members.
We especially remembering visiting with Gabe. We were drawn to him because he resembled our grandson Russell Anderson, who was a friend of Gabe's at the Jr. High.
Gabe has a wonderful spirit and testimony, that showed in his face, and actions.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We know our Father will continue to strengthen you and bless you.
God Bless You.

Dearest friends and family of Gabriel,
When President Caldwell told me of this horrific accident I was deeply hurt for all of you. As a clerical member an friend of another faith I want you all to know that Gabriel's testimonial and love of our Lord, declared on the very day of his death, is a tremendous lesson in faith that is truly awe inspiring. This sweet young man has made an eternal impact in my life and undoubtedly in the lives of countless others, one that transcends religion and and touches upon perfect love of God. All of you wonderful souls have come together in support and love that no less inspiring. May Gabriel's love of our Lord lift all of your hearts and souls above regret and self-blame, and may those worldly sentiments be left behind where they belong. This is my prayer for each of you. God bless you all in this extremely difficult time. Your's in Christ, Deacon Kranz
