Glenna Andersen Obituary

Glenna Ann Andersen 1932 ~ 2007 Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Glenna Ann Andersen, passed away on April 12, 2007 after valiantly enduring many challenges. She was born on Aug. 9, 1932, in Brigham City, UT to Ross and Edith Holst. On July 10, 1950, she married Earl Lynn Andersen in the Logan Temple. Glenna was a loving wife and mother, devoting her time to her family. She loved gardening and collecting dolls. She always made sure holidays were extra special. One of her latest joys was attending outings with the Red Hat Society. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served willingly in many callings, including 25 years of service in the baptistery of the Jordan River Temple. She was a great example to us all. Glenna is survived by her husband; children, Terry (Melvin) Draper, West Jordan; Mike, Sandy; Debbie (Lawrence) Medina, Salt Lake City; Sandra (Dave) Leavitt, Gaithersburg, MD; Diane (Scott) Willson, Suwanee, GA; and her brother, Robert Holst. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dolores Price. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Apr. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Eastmont Ward, 1280 E Turquoise Way (9992 So). Friends and family may call prior to the services from 10:00 - 10:40 a.m. Viewing will also be held on Tues. April 17 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S, Sandy. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences at larkinmortuary.com.

Grandma, You took your last ride home on the wings of angels to our Heavenly Father. Now that you are safely in his arms again we know you are doing well. We can only picture you meeting your family who has already returned or is waiting to fulfill their calling in life. We can see you sharing you stories of your wonderful experiences. While we miss you we know that you are better now. And we know that one day we will be able to see our grandma again. We love you with all of our heart and much more. Love, Tyson and Rachel

To the Andersen Family, I just heard about the loss of Your Dear Sweet Wife and Mother and Grandmother, I was very shocked to find out. To all of you is my deepist sympathy and sarrow, but we all know, that she is in a better place now and out of pain, she was such a kind and loving person and did alot for me when I was around and made me part of the Family when ever there was an activity with the family she made me feel welcome. What a great spirit she had about being around her Children and Grandchildren and Loved her Dear Husband too. My best to All of you at this time of sarrow.
