Mount Pleasant, UT-Hal Seeley, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 78 following complications after suffering a heart attack on October 9. For years, he had battled diabetes and more recently, prostate and bone cancer.
He was born March 17, 1934 on the Seeley farm west of Mount Pleasant, Utah. He was the oldest child and only son of Hyrum Carlton & Elverda Elizabeth Smith Seeley.

He attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah before working the next 50 years in the rock crushing & road construction industry for the Utah Department of Transportation, L.A. Hal was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his profession.
He married Carma Nordstrom on April 5, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. They had four children - Philip, Pam, Mike & K.C. They divorced in 1969. On July 25, 1970 Hal married Charlene Munk Nelson in Manti, Utah and became step-father to Dorrie, Marcie, Juliann & Cathryn. They had two children together, Cade & Dane. They divorced in 2011.
Hal is fondly remembered for his unique sense of humor, hearty laugh, generosity, and devotion to his family. He had an especially soft place in his heart for his grandchildren. Those that knew him never tired of hearing his countless stories and experiences. Hal provided much joy to his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
