In Bluffdale, Utah our beloved Iracema peacefully passed away in her home on August 14, 2017. Born to Ed and Eva Oblad on July 21, 1980 in São Paulo, Brazil, Iracema emigrated to the United States with her parents and brother, Cristovão, as a young child and was mostly raised in Salt Lake City, UT.
Life had many twists and turns in store for Iracema, and on April 20, 2016 she giddily married her love, Cody Lee Olsen in the Hawaiian Islands; soon Cody and Iracema seamlessly blended their families in their Bluffdale, UT home. Iracema found much joy in simply pottering about her yard amongst the sunflower strewn borders and cascading water feature with her two adoring dogs, Louie and Cassie, in tow.
She lived for her children and was an intensely loving mother. She often put everyone's needs before her own, especially those of her family and close friends. She always focused on the positive and saw the beauty in everything; she was a light spirit who easily touched hearts and left an indelible mark.
An avid football fan, and much to her husband's dismay, Iracema loved her Green Bay Packers, (he's a Bears Fan) - "Go Pack Go!" She also loved camping and weekends would often find her in the serene wilderness with her family and friends.
Iracema is survived by her three beautiful children, Tiana (20), Christian (13) and Hunter (9), her husband Cody Olsen, older brother Cristovão Oblad and father Ed Oblad. She was preceded in death by her mother Eva Oblad.
Her 37 short years were too few, and yet she never wasted a moment sharing her heart; "I love you" was spoken often and easily to those she held dear. Iracema, you were taken from us far too soon and you will be sorely missed; we love you too.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 West 12600 South; Riverton, UT on Friday August 25, 2017 from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm followed by services.
