Jack Williams Obituary

2/4/1944 ~ 11/28/2012
Jack P. Williams passed away quietly with his family by his side on November 28, 2012.
Jack was the third of four children to bless the lives of Bertha and Robert Williams. Born in Lynch, Kentucky, Jack was raised in a coal mining family and moved to East Carbon when he was young. Jack served in the Navy and honorably served his country during Vietnam. His devotion to family, strong will, and compassion made him a fun and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved old cars and car shows and he had many friends that shared that love with him. He led an extraordinary life and was loved and admired by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertha and older brother, Sonny. He leaves behind his wife, Clarice, daughters; Debra Foutz and Christine (Tod) Simmons and their families; 4 grandchildren; Ashlei, Brooke, Jessica and Brian and 1 great-grandchild, Havoc, plus many more that feel and share a bond that make them part of this family.

Grandpa,
I miss you so much. My tears can't bring you back. I wish they could. I wish I could hold your hand and hear you call me 'kid'. I wish I could wake up and see you in the kitchen with your coffee. I wish I could go back to the day we carved our names in trees. I just wish I could spend one last day with you. And tell you how much I love you. Grandpa, you were the best grandpa I could have ever wished for. I'll never forget you. I love you now, forever and always.

It's been one month since I gave you the last kiss I would ever give you. And one month since you told me how much you love me! Not a day goes by that I don't miss you! I know you are no longer in pain, but I wish I could spend one more day with you, and give you all the hugs in kisses I could give! You are my best friend, and no one will replace that part of my heart! I love you soo very much grandpa! To the moon and back a million times! I will never forget you, even when I'm one hundred!

I am so sorry to read of Jack's passing. I found the news while trying to get his contact information to attempt to see him. I can tell you that he was a man of integrity and the hardest working person I every knew. I was young and just out of college and worked with him at Kennecott in the early 80's. he instilled a work ethic in me that served me well during my entire carear. God bless and please know he touched many.

Grandpa.
You were always a fighter, probably one of the strongest people I knew. You taught me so much about life and the way things are, how some things never change, no matter how hard you try. I wish I could change this and have you back. I would give anything to have one more day with you. You were always so supportive and understanding even when it was hard for you to be. You always had my back. I'm so grateful to have had someone like you in my life. I'm going to miss our inside jokes, I'm going to miss our weekends together, but most of all, I'll miss our talks and your advice. I miss you every single day. But I'm lucky to have had you in my life. You were a wonderful influence to me. I love you so much. To the moon and back.

My sympathy goes out to all of Jack's family. He grew up being friends of my brother and eventually my neighbor. He was a caring friend when my family members passed away. He would stop and give me East Carbon news and updates on friends and his own wonderful family. I can imagine that he was adored by his loved ones as he adored them. May you keep him always in your hearts.

I was very saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I was fortunate enough to get to know Jack from my parents Jerry and Jeannie Kennedy at the car shows.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great smile. Every time I saw him he would always ask me how to use functions on his cell phone. As he put it "us old people do not know nothing about these darn phones"! He was a happy, bright, nice and funny person and he will be missed by many. He was so nice to everyone...may God bless his family during this hard time.

Take care,
