Jacqueline Berrett Obituary

Jacqueline Boberg Berrett 1925 ~ 2009 Jacqueline Boberg Berrett passed away June 6, 2009.She was born November 30, 1925 to Elroy Boberg and Olive Despain Boberg in Roosevelt, UT. She graduated from Jordan High School and attended the University of Utah and BYU. She married H. Ross Berrett May 14, 1947 in the Logan Temple. They lived in Logan, Altamont, Draper, and Price, before settling in Sandy in 1959. They spent three years in Shreveport, LA from 1983-86 for Ross' job as CES Supervisor. They are the parents of Douglas (Laurie) Berrett, Ann (Dennis) Keller, Rosalyn (Russell) Riddle, Richard (Ruth) Berrett, Gary (Merelynn) Berrett, JP (Bruce) Baxter; they have 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grand-children; daughter-in-law, Sue Berrett Powers. Predeceased by her husband, Ross; son, Steven; two brothers, Richard and Sherwood Boberg. She served in many callings in the LDS church, but considered her greatest calling to be a mother in Zion, where she taught her children by loving example and gospel principles while supporting her husband in his church callings and career. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 2nd Ward, 8735 So. Harvard Park Dr. (1080 E). There will be a viewing Friday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Sat. 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
