James William Iverson

James William (Willie) Iverson 1939 ~ 2006 James William (Willie) Iverson, 66, passed away at home May 19, 2006 of cancer, after being diagnosed in July 2005, but he was determined to see his new grandson Brody born May 2, 2006. Willie, as he was known by his many friends, was born to James W. and Joy Haller Iverson May 26, 1939. Married Vicki Jones September 26, 1957. Graduated from Granite High School and attended the U of U. Was a highly skilled brick mason who took great pride in his work until his health declined. He loved fishing, camping, four wheeling and watching NASCAR, but most importantly spending time with his cherished grandchildren. Survived by wife; daughter, Jeri (Jody) Eastman; son, Chad (Erika); grandchildren, Kyle, Connor Eastman, Makell, Ashlyn and Brody Iverson; brother, Charles (Joyce) Iverson. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23 at Herriman City cemetery (12520 South 6000 West) under the direction of Broomhead Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at the family home following the service. We will love and miss you forever, but will never forget you. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Huntsman Cancer Institute, VistaCare Hospice or your favorite charity in his name.
