James J. Weber passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born in Phillips, Wisconsin, on February 28, 1929, to John and Lillian Weber. Jim grew up in Phillips and graduated from Phillips High School in 1947.
In 1950, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving four years, with three of those years spent in Libya and Turkey. On June 4, 1955, Jim married his sweetheart and the love of his life, Victoria S. Voda ("Vicki"). They shared 70 years of devoted marriage. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Patricia Weber.
Jim attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 1959 with a degree in Mining Engineering. He embarked on a lifelong and engaging career in mining, working for the US Gypsum Company in Michigan, Nevada, and Utah, as well as for Anaconda Mining in Nevada. In 1969, he was hired by the Tertling Company of Boise, Idaho, to manage the Stauffer Chemical Company's Wooley Valley Mine in Soda Springs, Idaho. The 15 years Jim spent at Tertling Company were the highlight of his career.

He played an instrumental role in a local winter deer feeding program. Deeply patriotic, Jim loved his country and especially cherished his life in Idaho.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved Vicki, his parents Lillian and John, his brothers Laurie and Bob, and his sister Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Weber of Kimberly, Idaho. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to St. Luke's Hospice and the staff at Grace Assisted Memory Care for their compassionate support during Jim's final days.
