Janeen Stevens Obituary

1944 ~ 2013
Janeen was born 12 August 1944 in American Fork to Leonard Alvin Weyland and Iona Adams Weyland.
She grew up in Pleasant Grove where she attended high school. After high school graduation she attended Stevens-Henager Business College in Salt Lake City. She married Larry P. Stevens on 27 August 1965 while he was a medical student. Their daughter Lareen was born during the Medical School years and their son Sjon during Larry's internship in Oakland, CA. She earned her Master's Degree in Speech Therapy from the U of U when they returned to SLC after their Navy years. Janeen's love of family, friends and faith was unconditional. Her ability to probe, recognize, analyze and understand was a special gift tenderly nurtured through the years. She provided a significant measure of immortality for her ancestry through her genealogical research, writings and publications which all future family generations and historians will reference, treasure and emulate. On the late morning of 2 September 2013, Janeen quietly and sweetly released her grip on mortality at home in SLC surrounded by her deeply-loving family.
Preceded in death by her father. Survived by her mother, her husband, three brothers, two children & eight grandchildren.
Viewing: 9:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday 7 September 2013 in the Butler Stake Center, 7035 Nutree Drive (3340 E), Salt Lake City prior to the Service. Service: 11:00 a.m. Burial: 4:30PM Richfield City Cemetery
