Janice Hamilton Keeler
1932 - 2022
LOGAN, UTAH—Janice Hamilton Keeler passed away on March 9, 2022. She was born in Riverton, Utah to Eldred and Violet Hamilton, growing up on a large ranch where she hoed and topped sugar beets; the perfect training ground to later become a Jordan High Beet Digger. It was there that she encountered a handsome young man in band who winked at her from across the room. Years later after attending BYU, she fell in love and married that handsome winker in the Manti Temple on July 17, 1952 They lived in Provo Utah, Columbus Ohio, Bozeman Montana, and Ames Iowa while Richard finished his doctorate in Biochemistry and began his research. They later moved to Logan Utah, and eventually settled in Nibley Utah until Richard passed away in 2009. She lived in North Logan until her death.
Janice is survived by 5 children and their spouses: Francesca and Randy Jensen, Adrienne and Rick Lungman, Paul and Shannette Keeler, Jolene and Curtis Jacobs, Maria and Kirk Hoth, in addition to 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and two sisters - Carolyn Klopfer and Coleen Hamilton.
Janice made home heaven. She delighted in spending time with her family and loved ones, who were the priority of her life. Her quick wit and humor created a home filled with joy, laughter, and fun. Her children were blessed to grow up in a home where they saw their angel mother spending her life lifting up the hands that hung down with Christlike love and gentle grace.
Her love for the beauty of the world around her was evident. She found great joy working in her beautiful flower garden and arranging flowers. She wrote wonderful poetry and composed lovely music. Janice made the world a beautiful place and the world will be a little bit darker without her in it. Her family looks forward to a glorious reunion in the sweet bye and bye. There is comfort in the words from one of her original songs, "How thin the veil to life beyond, it is no barrier to love." She leaves behind a shining legacy.
There will be a viewing for friends and family on Saturday, March 19th, at Allen-Hall Mortuary at 34 East Center Street in Logan Utah from 10:30-12:00. A graveside service will be held afterward at the Logan City Cemetery at 12:30. A celebration of her life will be available to view at
