Jason Burns Obituary

Jason Patrick Burns 3/22/1971~8/2/2005 Jason Patrick Burns, 34, passed away Aug 2, 2005 in his home in Holden, Utah, surrounded by his family. Born Mar. 22, 1971 in Hemet, CA to James G. and Rabecca E. Robison Burns. The forth of four children. Brothers: James G. and Scott A. Burns; Sister: Kristyne Burns. He moved with his family to Holden in 1973. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Fillmore, Utah. He graduated in 1989 from Millard High School on the honor roll. He excelled in sports and especially as a baseball pitcher. He was always on the side of the underdog and went to the defense of many who were not treated well. He showed kindness and compassion to those who had few friends. He brought so much happiness to everyone he was in contact with, even though he felt he had so little to offer, which made him sad. He felt so bad that he was not able to do more for others. He was repeatedly told that his love, his heart and his spirit touched everyone he knew for the good, even those who did not know him - because it did! He has served as his Heavenly Father expects us all to do. He is a member of the LDS Church. The joy in his life was to attend the temple as often as possible. We will meet him there on his birthday from now on, as that was the day he tried never to miss. He will now be serving, teaching others the gospel, and spend time with his many family members and friends who have gone before him, including a terrific grandfather he never met while in this life, that loved baseball more than he did. They will probably have a good game of catch. He is survived by parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by all his grandparents and his uncle Don and his aunt Whimpie. Funeral: Fri Aug 5, 2005 in the Holden Ward at 11 a.m. Friends call at church 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial in Holden Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary, Delta.
