Murray, Utah —Jerry Don Giles
Born September 27th, 1941, He died April 22nd, 2022 doing what he loved, mountain biking at the tender young age of 80 on the Bear Claw Poppy trail in St. George. Not many people get to design the way they go out, but it seems he did just that.
Jerry was a husband, a father, a brother, a friend, and all around badass. Anyone who knew him, loved him.
Jerry was the kind of man who did things all the way! Whether riding motorcycles, skiing mountains, windsurfing, mountain biking, or Jeeping the trails, he did it with a passion for fun, and a spirit of you're never too old!
Jerry had an amazing career of almost 50 years at Snowbird. The pride he had in being a part of building a place in the mountains of Utah, that the entire world enjoys, was one of his most treasured accomplishments!
He will be missed by many, and forgotten by none who knew him! Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Donna, his children, Terry, Jennifer, and Jason, eight grandchildren, and one great grandson.

There will be a celebration of life service at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, May 10th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, go buy a beer and raise a glass in memory of Jerry!

Donna, It is with the upmost sadness to hear of Jerry's passing. No words can Express the loss you're going through. I just talked with Jason and I'm glad he died doing what he loved.
