JERRY HOLM Obituary

Jerry Thomas Holm 1943 ~ 2011 Jerry, age 67, passed away March 18, 2011 due to complications from diabetes. He was born October 29, 1943 to Melvin L. and Celia Lorraine Ingles Holm in Morenci, AZ. He graduated from Staples High School, Staples, Minnesota in 1961. He married the love of his life Lois Elaine Leininger on March 2, 1968. They had 2 children, Jeri Lynn (Dan) Pearson and Thomas Michael (Jennifer) Holm. He moved to Utah in 1972. He worked for Parker Hannifen, Seals Div. for 30 yrs. as a tool maker for injection molding, where he made many great friends. Jerry loved to spend time with his family and friends hunting, fishing and camping. He loved all of his grandchildren Zachary, Michael, ShaeLee and Colton. He was so proud of each of their accomplishments. He will be deeply missed by his mother, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, Father Melvin, Brothers Gary and Danny. Special thanks to Glenna at Heartwood and his O.T. Nelena, for their love and support. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at Trinity Methodist Church on 4290 West and 5415 South in Kearns, UT. Visitors accepted at 10:30. A luncheon to follow services.

I remember the many parties we had at Jerry's parents place when Francis & I were first married. His Mom, Lorraine, went all out on the parties! God bless his children, grandchildren and his 89 yr. old Mother.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Losing both of your parents at such young ages. My heart goes out to you, I lost my dad (Larry Holliday) in December and I remember that they were such great friends for a long time. Memories are so much more important now then ever. I will remember Jerry as the big, gruff, teddy bear who helped get me and my friend's golf cart unstuck by picking it up. Fond memories of working at Parker and golfing - seems like yesterday! My condolences to the family; RIP Jerry!

Grandpa Jerry will be deeply missed. He was one of the "team" Grandpa's and my girls loved him dearly. Such a kind heart and always cheering on the girls. He had such a sweet way of making my girls feel like they could easily refer to him as Grandpa, which was special to them since their own grandparents are so far away. Thank you Jeri for sharing him with our family and we will have you lifted in our prayers. We love y'all and will miss Grandpa terribly.
