Jesse Valdez Obituary

1994 ~ 2013
Jesse James Valdez, of Reedley, CA passed away on December 28th 2013 due to complications stemming from pneumonia. Jesse was born on June 19, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 2nd child of Irene M. Kendall Clark. We were blessed to spend nineteen awesome years with him as our inspiration. Jesse was too fabulous for this world. He was wise beyond his years, compassionate beyond comparison, genuine and unique, intelligent, strong and one of the most courageous kids we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was an affectionate boy that loved to snuggle and cuddle, to the delight of his mother. Jesse had a quick wit and often entertained us with his one line "zingers!" He had an infectious smile, and loved to pull crazy faces. He loved to laugh, and make others laugh with him. Jesse was loved by everyone who met him.
Jesse is survived by his partner, Mark Neighbors, his mother, Irene, his sister, Tani (Caleb) Clark Henderson, his nephews Camden and Clayton, his Uncle Richard (Rob) Kendall, Aunt Donna Kendall, Aunt Pamela (Martin) Kendall and cousin Julian. Also survived by his dog Peanut and cat Mr. Butters. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, John and Ruth Kendall.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 4, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at the Sandy Cactus and Tropicals, 1325 East 12300 South, Draper, UT. Dress is casual but fantastic - wear colorful socks!
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to create a LifeGem memorial. The memorial fund is listed as Jesse James Valdez Memorial at America First Credit Union.

Irene, This is Ms. Gallegos from Beacon Heights Elementary. I believe I worked with Jesse when he was 5. I now work at a middle school. If it is the same young man, he was a joy to me and had a great spirit to share and his beautiful smile. I still have the hand prints he made for me. May God bless you and your family. Ms. Gallegos

Irene, I can only imagine a tiny part of the pain of losing a son. And, even that tiny part leaves me shattered. My thoughts are of you and I hope that you will find some measure of peace and acceptance in the love of your family and friends.

We are all truly broken-hearted to learn of sweet Jesse's passing. Since the day Irene brought him home from the hospital, Jesse has been my most towering example of courage and strength. My whole family took you into our hearts and as we watched you grow, your fighting spirit and silly remarks captured our soul. I tried to be a good uncle for you. My deepest sympathy to Irene, Tani, Aunt Donna, Mark and all the other family and friends of Jesse.
Forever in our hearts, 'Unca' Brett and the Hardcastle Family
