My prayers go out to all of Joe L.'s family at this difficult time. I moved here almost seven years ago, and met Joe L. while he was Chief of Police. What a neat man. When ever I had trouble in Centerfield and couldn't get anyone to do anything about it, I could count on Joe L. all I had to do is call and he was there.
He will be greatly missed by the entire communtiy. He was a well respected man in my eyes and a hero at times.
May God be w/you your family and comfort you at this time. I have you in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Stacie Massey

Joe L was my mom's cousin. I will always have good memories of him from when I was a kid and we would stop in Gunnison on Memorial Day on our way to Richfield. I always thought he was so cool. Especially after he had his accident and he was on crutches, he would always try to do crazy tricks. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great sorrow. He was a wonderful person.
