Johnny JosephVlakovich "I'll Be With You" 7/16/1951 ~ 5/21/2003  Our dear brother crossed over May 21, 2003, in the Veterans Hospital due to complications from pneumonia.Johnny was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He resided at Green Gables at the time of his death where he received excellent care and exceptional love. All the staff and residents were his dear friends. Words cannot express the deep appreciation our family has for the tender care the staff at the Veterans Hospital gave our brother. Thank you. Our brother was a kind and gentle spirit who touched the lives of everyone he met. Being generous was his mission in life. His family and friends were his passion. Johnny was preceded in death by our father, Johnny, mother, LaPreal, and sister, Pamela. They are taking their baby home. Johnny is survived by sisters, Patricia (Allen) Kendell, SonJa (Brendan) McCormick, Salt Lake City; brothers, Tommy (Liz), Sandy, UT, Paul, Miami, FL, Jackie, St. David, IL, Tyrone, Peoria, IL; niece and nephews, Trisha Mari' Johnny (Traci), Thomas (Annie), T.J.; dear cousin, Shauna Davis; and all Bonino family cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wed. 10 a.m. by Rev. Gebran Bou-Merhi Veterans Hospital Chapel, 500 Foothill Dr. Friends and family may visit 9-10 a.m. also at the VA chapel. Committal, Mt. Calvary Cemetery 4th Ave. and T St. Directors, Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary.
