Judy Pettit Obituary
1942 ~ 2017
Herriman, UT-Born to "Billy" William and Lydia Westburg Graves on July 12,1942. She was the oldest of 3 children, sister Carol (Wendell), and brother Keith (Patsy).
Judy married Gerald Newell Pettit on November 16, 1958. They were later sealed in the LDS Temple.
Together they had 4 children: Richard, David (Maria), Diana, and Greg (Jeannie), 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
Judy and Gerry met 61 years ago, at a school dance. It was love at first sight. She gave her love to everyone, always thinking of others, and will be sorely missed by everyone. Judy served many callings including Young Woman's president, Relief Society President, and Visiting Teacher. She loved doing crafts, ceramics, dolls, and blankets.
Judy fought a 2 year battle with cancer. Her family would like to give a special thank you to Becky, Dr. Kendell, and Dr. McPhearson for all of the care they gave her.
Preceded in death by her son Richard Pettit, her great grandson Sawyer Schultz, brother Keith Graves, parents Bill and Lydia Graves.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, UT 84065 on Monday, Oct 2, from 6-8 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct 3, from 10-10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Butterfield Canyon 8th Ward, located at 6719 West Valynn Drive, Herriman, UT.
Interment will be at Lehi Cemetery following services.

Though we only knew each other for a few years in Hi-Country, Judy made a lasting impression on me. She was such a wonderful, sweet lady. I have the ceramics she gave me as gifts. Carl & I are so blessed to have awesome memories of Judy, our beautiful, joyful, gracious & loving friend. There are really nice people who come & go throughtout a lifetime. Judy was more than that to us. She was one of those precious gifts God gives us, who fill your life with joy & grace. To say we will miss her seems inadequate. We are praying for God's Healing Love & Grace for Gerry & all of your family. Our memory will keep Judy forever with us.
