1936 ~ 2015
Murray, UT-Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) ended the mortal journey of Katharyn Cannon McPhie on August 10, 2015. Married Reuel J. McPhie August 31, 1961. This union produced 4 very special daughters, Cheri, Karie, Jill and Marlene.
We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Bromberg, the ALS team at U of U and the special staff at Summit Hospice. A gathering to celebrate her life will be Wednesday August 12 from 6 to 8 at 160 E 4600 S., Murray, UT. Funeral will be Thursday, Aug 13th at 11 a.m. Family may gather for prayer one hour prior to service. Online condolences may be shared at www.AFCFuneralHome.com.

My heart goes out to this whole family for the loss of such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. I pray that the Lord will comfort all of you and will give you the assurance that you will all be together again. I will always remember Kathy for her artistry, knowing how to fix any problem and her true love for everyone.

What a wonderful woman...always her concern was for others, especially her immediate family. I have been aquainted with Katharyn for only 12 years but her strength and positive attitude as she faced this huge health challenge, has impressed and inspired me. She will always be remembered fondly. Until we meet again Katharyn.

I loved the comment that Katharyn and Reuel's marriage produced four very special daughters because I had the joy of knowing three of them.
