Kathleen Argyle Obituary

Kathleen Louise Argyle "Will Be Missed" Kathleen passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Alta View Hospital after a valiant battle with multiple sclerosis. She entered the world on April 21, 1950. Born to Dr. Emery and Charlotte Argyle. She graduated from Murray High School. She attended the University of Utah and received her BS and MS degrees in nursing. She loved her work as an operating room nurse at Cottonwood Hospital and worked until December 2005, when her illness began. Kathleen had many talents that she shared with others. She loved to play the piano and guitar. She especially found joy in bringing beauty to canvas, and over the years worked with her long-time art teacher and friend, Harold Olsen, on countless watercolors and oil paintings. As a member of the LDS Church, she served in many callings, but especially enjoyed her work as a Stake Missionary. Kathleen was a two-time kidney transplant recipient and spent time promoting donor programs. Kathleen lived for her dogs, Rudy, Suzie, and Buster, and was devoted in her care of them. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her brother, Paul Argyle (Cheryl); nephews, Greg Argyle (Melanie), Todd Argyle (Sarah), and Neil Argyle; their children, Ceilidh, Callum, Sabrina, and Abbie; and her dogs, Rudy and Buster. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her dog, Suzie. Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to LDS Hospital doctors, nurses, and aids - a special thank you to Dr. James Stinson and Dr. Robert Miska. We also appreciate the loving care given by nurses and aids at St. Joseph's Villa, Sandy Regional Rehab and Alta View Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vine Street Chapel, 363 Vine Street, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, on Sunday, May 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00-12:45 at the church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kidney Foundation of Utah, 3707 N. Canyon Rd., Provo, UT 84604, in Kathleen's name.
