It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen "Katie" Lucille Erickson announces her passing at age 88. Katie passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 16, 2021 with her loving family close.
Katie, born on August 4, 1932 in Marlborough, MA, grew up one of eleven children (eight sisters and two brothers) to John Patrick Gately and Emily Frances Gately. As a young adult, she moved to Huntington Beach, CA before settling in Murray, UT where she met and married the love of her life, Clinton "Clint" Erickson. They lived a long beautiful life going on adventures with their four wonderful children and four grandchildren camping, boating and swimming, and golfing in Arizona in the winter. She worked as a cosmetologist for 50 years.
Katie enjoyed making memories in the great outdoors with her family, they spent summers in the sun and falls/winters enjoying college football games. A twenty-five year season ticket holder for the University of Utah, she loved cheering on her Utes! She never missed an opportunity to travel and see Notre Dame play on the road. Katie adored spending time with her family and loved capturing every moment!

She is survived by her children Steve, Patricia, Randy (Svetlana), Craig (Terry); her grandchildren Kristopher, Alysia (Ben), Meghan (Jaron), Heather; great-grandchild Beckham; five sisters and two brothers.
