Kelly Madden Obituary

Kelly Joe Madden  Kelly Joe Madden, 18, wonderful, loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew left his family to return to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 21, 2002 due to an auto accident while returning home from Cedar City. Kelly was born July 28, 1983, in Provo, Utah, the son of Wade and Jeanne Mogensen Madden. Kelly grew up in Provo, Utah  attending Joaquin Elementary and  Farrer Jr. High. He graduated from Timpview High School in May 2001. He was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in June 2001. Kelly was very involved in and loved being in the scouting program with the loving support of his Mom and Dad. He was employed at Smith's Food King in Provo where he made a lot of new friends and was always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone who needed it. Kelly's life was all about having fun. He was always busy and on the go with friends and family. He loved fishing, hunting, playing football, basketball, and baseball. His pride and joy was his new Ford Truck that he worked so hard to get. Everyone that Kelly met was a new friend for him. He genuinely loved people. He leaves behind his very best friend and buddy his brother Travis. Kelly is survived by his parents of Goshen, formerly of Provo; brother Travis, grandparents: Elmer and Donna Mogensen, Orem; Jim and Norma Madden of Blanding, Utah; aunts and uncles: special aunt and uncle Brenda and Mike Nuttall, Orem; Dennis and Karen Mogensen, Orem; Ralph and Sharla Mogensen, Boise, ID; Val and Bob Anderson, American Fork, UT; Kelli and Ron Simper, Sumner, WA, Sallie and Duane Lyman, Blanding, UT; Alayna and Kim Nielsen, Hinckley, UT. He also leaves behind numerous cousins. You will always be in our hearts, Kelly. We Love You. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Eastbay 1st Ward Chapel, 424 West 1200 South in Provo. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State St. in Orem and also Friday one hour prior to the services at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.

I knew Kelly when I was in third grade at Joaquin elementary school. I tutored him in reading when he was in first grade. I love this little boy so much and would like to send my condolences. I am very sorry for your loss.
