Kenneth Andrews Obituary

Kenneth Andrews "Kenny"  Kenneth Andrews passed away on November 1, 2004 in Salt Lake City, UT, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.  He was born on June 1, 1947 in Stoke-on-Trent, England to Thomas William and Sarah Jacobs Andrews. Married Lena RaNae Groves on September 8, 1971 in Elko, NV. Kenny was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He always was friendly and loved to joke with everyone. He served in The U.S. Army for three years and served a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. He was always willing to help anyone and he supported his wife and children's activities. Kenny was talented with automotive problems and worked in this field his whole life. Avid Nascar fan, he loved to watch the races and collected Nascar memorabilia. He adored his grandchildren, they brought him a lot of joy and happiness. Ken is survived by his wife RaNae, son Lynn, daughters, Misti (Jon) Milner and Aimie (Kevin) Langlois, granddaughter Kenzie and grandson K.J., mother Sarah Jacobs Andrews, brothers Keith (Larrie) Andrews and Colin (Gail) Andrews. Preceded in death by his father Thomas William and brother Ronald. Special thanks to the caring staff at LDS CCU and shock/trauma ICU. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the LDS Hospital Heart Transplant Team in memory of Kenneth Andrews thru the Deseret Foundation, 8th Ave & "C" Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84143. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600) So. where friends may call Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Friday. Interment Sandy City Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. I only knew Ken for a short time but in that time I got to witness his humor and love for his family. Please remember you are in my thoughts and prayers.
