Kristy Wright Obituary

1982 ~ 2018
South Jordan, Utah-Kristy Ross Wright left this mortal life at the young age of 35 years. Kristy was born on March 20, 1982 in Salt Lake City, to Grant and Nanci Ross. Kristy grew up in West Jordan, Utah, attending Oquirrh Elementary, Joel P Jensen Middle School and then West Jordan High. After high school, she pursued a career as a cosmetologist and continued to do that until her death. Kristy married her high school love, Jesse Wright on June 30, 2007. Together they had two beautiful children, Ethan, age 9 and Brooklyn, age 7. Kristy had an adventurous spirit and was not afraid to try anything. She loved to swim, waterski, snow ski, trips on the family boat and sports of all kinds. As a child she excelled in swimming, softball and basketball; she could do it all! Kristy was loved by all. She had an infectious laugh, lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. If you wanted a good time, you called Kristy. Kristy loved music and from a very young age, could always be found singing or listening to music. Kristy was blessed with so many talents. She had an eye for color and creativity, and used that in her work. It was important to her to make everyone that she worked on look beautiful, and she never let anyone down.
Kristy is survived by her husband, Jesse Exeter Wright, her two children; Ethan Exeter and Brooklynn Rae, her parents Grant and Nanci Ross, in-laws Ken and Shirlene Wright, brother Steve Ross (Carrie), sisters; Emily Moore (Adrian), Rachel Schmalz (Dan), sisters-in-law; Mindi Sutton (Chris), Sara Freeman (Rob), Jenni Clough (Aaron), Erin Kump (Jordan), brothers-in-law, Chris Wright (Hillary), Kenny Wright (Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kristy was preceded in death by all of her grandparents. All services will be held at the Willow Crest Ward, 5980 S 1300 W, Taylorsville, UT, 84123. The funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00AM with a viewing, Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6-8PM.

I was working up in Park city staying at a house pet sitting a dog for a week and asked Kristy to come up with me over night so I wasn't alone. The drive up the canyon together was a blast, we were blasting music singing along with it and laughing the whole way. When we got there we watched movies in the theater, did spray tans and ate a tun of junk food, just enjoying ourselves. We had a heart to heart and all she talked about was how much she loved her family and kids. She talked about all the things she wanted to do in life and she talked about her struggles and challenges she had overcome and how much she had grown from them. Kristy was an amazing person with the best heart I know of, she was always willing to help someone in need and was always there for me when I needed someone. I miss her so much and will always keep her in my heart and prayers.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) sustain your family during this challenging time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Kristy had the most beautiful eyes and light within her. She shared this light with others through her talent for flare and style. Kristy wasn't just your average Cosmetologist but rather it was personal to her that you left feeling more beautiful than you did when you arrived at her salon. Over the years I came to understand just how much she loved her beautiful children and how she loved life. Kristy has left her mark on our hearts and will live on through her children, family and friends. Love you forever
