Lisa Lindgren Obituary

Lisa Wade Lindgren
1960 ~ 2016
At 56, Lisa Wade Lindgren was too young to depart this world; but tragically, she left us on November 2, 2016. It is impossible to express the depth of heartache and grief her family and friends are suffering, having lost such an essential companion.
Lisa was a kind, thoughtful and loyal connector of people. There was no amount of time or distance that diminished the importance of family, friends or colleagues; and she kept those she loved close to her and to each other.
Her daughter Marisa was the jewel of her life. There was never a single heartbeat when Lisa was not delighting in the joy that Marisa brought to her. Lisa and Mark knew how fortunate they were to have each other for more than 35 years and to have formed a brilliant family.
Lisa had a well-honed eye for irony and never failed to point it out. She saw the humor in everyday absurdity and consistently shared her timely observations. Her timing was impeccable and her wit was unmatched. In thinking back over Lisa's life and contributions to this world, it is appropriate to remember some of the valuable life lessons Lisa's commentary and action provided:
1. The smell from a lot of spilled Kahlua will never come out of your car. 2. If you have the chance to enroll in "Accelerated P.E.", take it. Not everyone gets that chance. 3. If someone tells you and your identical twin "It's like looking in a mirror when I look at the two of you," be sure to confirm which twin they think they look like. 4. Latisse doesn't work for everyone. 5. Wearing corduroy pants with large thighs is a fire hazard. 6. No matter how long you stare into your big sister's closet, you will not find a single thing to wear. 7. If you run into an old friend, always say "excuse me." 8. It is polite to get the name of "the horse you rode in on." 9. You must remember to take your Ginkgo Biloba. 10. No one ever "literally had a cow." 11. You are not invisible when you are in your car; people can see you pick your nose. 12. When asked to contribute to a potluck, bring something more than saran wrap. 13. Hours spent at a softball field or on a road trip to a tournament make your life exponentially better. 14. You are never old enough to handle the loss of your mom. 15. Two kidneys and a liver save 3 lives. Donate! 16. Make sure your love for others is at least as big as a battleship.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, D. James Wade, her mother, Carol Elizabeth Williams Wade, and her mother-in-law, Helen Gehrke Lindgren.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Marisa Lindgren. She is also survived by her identical twin, Laurie Lacy, and non-paired siblings: Karen Nicolas, Joni Hamblen and Steven Wade; her sisters' husbands: Michael (Nick) Nicolas, Mark Lacy, and Robb Hamblen; and her nieces, nephews and grand-nephew: Amanda Nicolas Sylvester (Sean) and their son Ryland, Aaron Nicolas, Ty Hamblen, McKay Hamblen, Maren Lacy and Maya Lacy.
Family, friends and friends of the family are welcome to share memories, offer condolence or raise a glass in celebration of Lisa's life on Saturday, November 19, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm at the home of Mark and Laurie Lacy, 3797 Spring Hollow Drive, Salt Lake City (Millcreek), UT, 84109.
