Lucille N. Lohnes

Lucille N. Lohnes 1919 ~ 2007 TOOELE- Our loving mother, grandma and sister, Marjorie Lucille Nelson Lohnes passed away at her home, July 11, 2007. She was born August 15, 1919 in Tooele to Daniel and Stella Elkington Nelson. Lucille met her sweetheart Roger M. Lohnes while working at the Tooele Post Office and they were married on September 25, 1943 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1977. Roger preceded her in death just last month. Lucille worked as a clerk at the Tooele Army Depot for 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Tooele 4th Ward. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing puzzles and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandkids and great-grandkids grow up. She is survived by her three daughters Linda (Roy) Fudge, Margie (Earl) Tate and Leslie Howe all of Tooele; sisters Shirley Palmer of Roy, Earlene Bowers of Magna and Alice (Hal) Edison of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren Scott, Shelby, Stacy, Ken, Kari, Lisa, Lori, Jamie, Jake, Catlin and Cajun; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years Roger; and sister Vivian Follet. We will miss her quick wit and feisty sense of humor but take comfort in knowing that she is back in the arms of her sweetheart. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:45 prior to the service. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
