Salt Lake City, UT—Lucy Lee Harrington Griffiths passed away February 19, 2021 at her home in Salt Lake City. Lucy was born December 29, 1937 in Salt Lake City Utah to Ella Robinson and Russel Taylor Harrington. She married Charles David Griffiths on September 10, 1959. He preceded her in death in 2020.

Lucy graduated from East High School and then earned a BS degree in elementary education from the University of Utah. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority at the U, and enjoyed working in Yellowstone National Park during summer breaks. She taught 5th grade for many years and retired from Granite School District. Lucy was an avid reader, a skilled seamstress, an excellent bridge player, and enjoyed entertaining. She was an ardent U of U football and basketball fan who rarely missed a game. Her quick wit, cheerfulness, love and kindness will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Linda Saxton, and David Russel Griffiths, and her grandchildren Larissa Saxton (Allison), Avery Saxton, and Shelby Saxton. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Russel, Sister Anne, and her daughter Garnett Griffiths.

Funeral Services will be held February 26, 2021 at 12:00 at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary (3115 E 7800 S Cottonwood Heights, Utah) with a viewing one hour prior to services. A small luncheon will be provided following interment.
