Margaret Pugh Obituary

Margaret Ellen Pugh 1938 ~ 2004  Margaret Ellen Pugh was born July 22, 1938 in Salt Lake City to Gerald Roach Pugh and Ellen Carson Pugh.  She died April 15, 2004 at her home in San Francisco, California. She obtained her schooling in Salt Lake graduating from East High School and the McCune School of Music. She worked as an executive secretary at Union Pacific Railroad in Salt Lake until she left in 1969 for San Francisco to establish her own legal secretarial service. She eventually joined the firm of Foley and Lardner, retiring in 2001.   Margaret's brothers and sisters are grateful to have grown up in a house filled with her unique piano music. From Bach to Bill Evans, Margaret played them all, beautifully. Margaret was a constant source of fun. In addition, she was a wonderful knitter making fisherman knit sweaters for a lucky few. The central focus of her life was her son, Adam Sloane, with whom she shared everything, including her love of the Bay area. Margaret is survived by son, Adam, of San Francisco; sister Judith and husband Ted R. Capener, sister Susan Grant and partner Sandy Dreis, brother David Gerald Pugh and wife Dianna, brother Douglas Carson Pugh, sister Lynda Lakin and husband, Steven, sister Kathleen Walker and husband, Richard. She is also survived by four nieces and nine nephews.
