Mark Palfreyman Obituary

1956 ~ 2017
Mark Palfreyman, 60, passed away February 18, 2017 in Kearns, UT. He was born July 11, 1956 in Las Vegas, NV to Les and Carol Palfreyman. Mark attended and graduated from Davis High School. On May 11, 1979 he married Carolyn in Salt Lake City.
Mark was a rock to so many. He could get along with anyone. There was not anyone he met that he could not find at least one redeeming thing about them. Mark worked installing window coverings for most of his life. For the last two years he worked for Gus Paulos Chevrolet where he loved the people there and made some good friends. Mark was an amazing carpenter and handy man. There was nothing he could not do. He was a perfectionist. He was so proud of his home and yard. His yard was our paradise which is beyond amazing. Mark was so proud of his girls he raised them to be independent and responsible. There was nothing he would not do for them. Mark would not want anyone to be sad but celebrate his life. Give the ones you love a hug and, your fur babies too.
Be thankful for today in a moment your life could change forever.
Survived by wife, Carolyn Palfreyman and mother, Carol Palfreyman. Siblings; Scott (Deede), Alan (Dawna), and Rob (Vickie). Children; Sarah Palfreyman (Jeff), Leslie Ann Duke (Gary). Grandchildren; Kellie Ann and Diego Mark Duke. His cat, Rocky and crazy dog, Cricket.
Preceded in death by father, Les Palfreyma and grandparents along with too many fur babies that have crossed the rainbow bridge.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00PM at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at Valley View Funeral Home.

Mark will be greatly missed. All of us here at C.R.A.S.H, LLC in Driggs, ID enjoyed having Mark visit us once a Month when he would come to pick up returns and make sure everything was going good between us and Gus Paulos. He was always very Happy and Always talked about how pretty the drive was coming up here. We are all glad to have met Mark, our prayers are with you.

Mark and I, together with Jimmy Wilkes, had a little Rock band in junior high and sophomore year of high school . Mark was the drummer and we practiced in his bedroom in his basement. Very fond memories. Blessings to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was my main contact while working at Windows West and went out of his way to make sure orders were correct and complete. A talented, concerned, happy guy. God bless you Mark!

I'm Mark's cousin, Kim Wright (daughter of Joyce and Bob Wright, Carol's brother). Although we haven't ever been close, I do have very fond memories of playing pool with Mark and his brothers at Grandma Margie and Pop's house on El Cerrito Circle when we would visit each summer from California. Mark was always very kind and loving! We're so sorry for your loss but grateful for his meaningful life.

Mark and I were two of the oldest grandkids of Mel and Marjorie. So we basically grew up together over the years we would see each other on the holidays at Grandpa and Grandma's house and catch up on what we had been doing. Mark was such a great guy and I am sorry to see that he has moved on to another place. We will celebrate his life. Love Lynn Kelsey Wright

Dear Carolyn and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mark's unexpected death. I am also sorry I am unable to be at the memorial service. My husband and I are currently serving a mission in Seattle. I admire Mark's goodness and kindness. He had many loved ones to greet him on the other side, and he, along with them, will continue to be your angels! Sending love and prayers, Stacy Peterson

To Carolyn, kids, and grandkids, Carol, Scott, Alan, and Robbie, you have our most true and heartfelt sympathy and condolences. My kids have grown up knowing Mark as "The World's Best Drummer", "legendary" for his skills in the "infamous" 1970's rock band Gothic/Primo! I personally will always remember Mark as my first lasting friend whom I met at age 8 while we were throwing dirt clods at the excavation of Midge's house, then lasting through all of those horrific yet glorious public school years and rock band days----what fabulous memories to cherish forever! Thank you Mark for being such a kind, selfless man. Rock on in Heaven Bud!
