They later had their marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They met while working at Albertson's grocery store. Max worked in the meat department and Kathleen was a meat wrapper. He went on to be a manager at Safeway grocery store before purchasing his father's grocery store, Hunsaker's Market in West Valley City. Max eventually renamed it to Max Hunsaker and Son's Meat Cutting and Distributing.
Max enjoyed serving his Heavenly Father. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many capacities as Scout Master, Counselor in Bishoprics, High Councilman, and Home Teacher. He especially loved serving the youth. I'm so sad to hear this. I had the opportunity to serve with him and Kathleen at RTEK when I had returned home from my mission for about a year's time. He really connected with the youth there and was able to bring such a great spirit with him. The youth there loved him. My condolences. -Gregg Alexander

Max was always very fun to be around when he would have my dad and mom teach Hunter Safety Education Classes. {George & Judy Johnson} We are all hunters and we would see him yearly at Hunsackers meats. He will be missed but not forgotten. God speed.
