Melvin Waters Obituary

Melvin H. Waters "Daddy" Passed away January 23, 2005 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born in Richfield, UT to Charles Henry and Virginia Emma Gulbransen Waters on June 20, 1919. Married Joyce A. Bell on September 21, 1945. She passed away July 18, 2003. Graduated from Richfield High School in 1937. Served as a corporal in the US Army during World War II. Mel was a retired restaurateur. Survived by his children, Melvin "Gene", Gary, Scott, and Russell Waters, Lynda Reber, Pamela Ogaard, and Karla Smith; brothers and sisters, Olive Dennis, Dona V. Bates, and Talmage D. Waters; 36 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Stephen J. Waters. Funeral services are held Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., where friends may call from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment Murray City Cemetery.

Melvin was a patient at murray care center where we all were very fond of him. he was always very sweet to all of us cna's we are going to miss him. he kept us hopping

Grandpa was always so good to me and my mother, Lynda Reber. He loved to talk about cars and investments and his dislike of the government. I always enjoyed his company and will certainly miss him.
