Michael Coffey Obituary
Michael Arthur Coffey, born March 4th, 1972 in Salt Lake City, UT, passed on May 17th, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Mike is survived by the two lights of his life, Madeline and Matthew, his loving mother, Sally and sister, Carolyn. Preceded in death by his father, Jim. Born and raised in Salt Lake, Mike served in the US Army.
Growing up, Mike played competitive soccer and made some great life-long friends. Mike's skill, knowledge and compassion as a respiratory therapist led him to fly locally with AirMed and work throughout the country.
In 2006, Mike sustained life-changing injuries due to gun violence. Forever changing his life; daily medical needs, countless doctor visits, and extended stays in the hospital; all endured for the love of his kids.
Friends and family are hosting a Celebration of Mike's Life on June 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. at his Mom's house.

I was just thinking of him out of the blue and couldnt believe that he passed away im so sorry i will always have special memories of him and i together i still have tapes he made me when we were dating and when he was in germany for the army. That was a lifetime ago my heart will always have a special place for him. All my love nicole miller

Sally and Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about Mike. I have so many memories of him at Judge Memorial and many hours together on the soccer field. His smile and laugh were the best. He will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with you and his girls!
