Although it has been a few years since I saw Mike, I loved him so much, he was also like a son to me in many ways, and I will miss him forever, it seems he touched alot of people more than anyone knew, and if there is anything I can ever do to help, please let me know, and also know that you are in my heart constantly, I love you all.

Our family weaps for you. We enjoyed so much having your loving son in our home. I am thankful I could be his lifeline mom if only for a short time. I will miss so much bumping into him or seeing him at my door surprising me. I loved him very much. I lost one of my sons in a tragic motorcycle accident last year, and I feel your horrible pain. It has been a long time since I have seen Michael or his family. When I found out what happened I felt as if my heart stopped. We would "play" as little kids. He was such a awesome kid, I remember him always making me laugh! I want his family to know that my heart goes out to them and they will be in my prayers.

The Ehlert Family,
Mike was an amazing spirt. He was a leader, a good example and opened his heart to the people who needed him the most. I enjoyed much time with both mike and his family at their home. He used to make me laugh, when we would drive home from LL and he would play Alex Boye so loud the whole way. He took kids into his home and his heart and made a difference. We know Mike is somewhere better now and is watching over us. My thoughts are with the Ehlert family as they go about their daily lives, and as they are also with Jill. I hope he grows up to be a good hearted as his father.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing your son...I am just a resident of the area where his life was so tragically taken. Just know that God hears every prayer and have comfort that your son knew the lord.

I spent a lot of time growing up with Mike as he was one of my best friends. We were nearly inseparable throughout middle school, where I was fortunate enough to gain thousands of joyful memories with Mike playing basketball or just hanging out. I will treasure every one of these memories as Mike goes on to a better place. My heart and prayers go out to all of Mike’s family, in faith that we will all see him again.

I met mike in middle school and had the blessing to spend alot of time with him during those years. He always brought the laughs to the group and made everyone smile.
