Mike was a great brother. I will miss him so much. I keep thinking it will get easier to go on without him telling a joke or hearing his laugh, but it seems to get harder. I will always remember all the good he did in his life. I will remember how he lived life to the fullest and loved with all his heart. I will remember all the kindness he showed me and his postive attitude. I will remain strong as he would want me to and remember all the good times. I know he is smiling down on me and telling me to wipe my tears and enjoy my life for it is much too short! You were the best Mike, I will love you forever!!

Mike was a great brother, brother-in-law and uncle and we will miss him so much! We will always be grateful for his strength and support during Dennis' illness. He was such a generous person and was very supportive and accepting of each one of us. We always knew he cared! His passing leaves a tremendous void in our family, but we have faith that he is watching over all of us and that he will live on through our wonderful memories of him. We love you Mike! Until we meet again someday...

I am going to miss mike so much. I can remember so many fun fishing trips with him. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell us. He sure loved fishing at flaming gorge. I knew that he wished to be a grandpa so badly and Im so grateful that his wish came true. Isabella was his special little angel. He loved to hold her and play with her any chance he got. He sure didnt waste any time making sure she had the best of everything. Our family will never forget the special times we spent with mike. I will miss him terribly.

All of us who knew Mike in one way or another feel the pain of loss. Although I never worked with him directly, we crossed paths on many occasions while I was working Downtown. My first impression was what a kind, gentle, and friendly person he was. The more opportunities I had to talk with him, the more I felt that he was one of the few really good people I had the pleasure of knowing. He always had a smile on his face and was so positive. My prayers are with his family. He will continue to live on in all our hearts.

I have known Mike off and on since 1993. I have had the pleasure of selling vehicles with him on off sight sales and most recently as a Parts and Service Manager for Hyundai Motor America. I will forever remember his generosity, especially in regard to his time. He was one of the great managers I have ever work for and with. He always took time to have lunch on my monthly visits and I loved meeting him and his wife in Las Vegas and playing some roulette. He was truely a great man and a great friend and will be sorely missed.

Mike was a great guy. I worked with him at the Garff Downtown store. I will never forget they day we had a steak and beans breakfast. The losers dinner was delivered by plane. (Cold and smashed Egg McMuffins) When the parachuter arrived right in front of the pad at Oldsmobile, Mike got the biggest kick out it. I also know his life was filled with the love of his 4 boys. He loved you deeply. May God bless you to keep him in your hearts forever!!

I met Mike in 1995 when I started working for Ken Garff. He was my first general manager. Our paths split apart and then came back together for the last two years as he became my general manager again. I was always impressed by his compassion, sensitivity and caring for employees and customers alike. I know all that knew him will miss him. My deepest condolences.

I met Mike in 1979 but really got to know him well when he and I worked together at Garff Enterprises in 1999 thru 2002. In a very short period of time I gained a great deal of respect and admiration for him. He was sensitive, always a gentleman, a capable car guy with a great business mind and respected by all who knew him. It was my great fortune and a pleasure to have associated with him. He was a positive influence in my life and I will never forget him.

THE BROKEN CHAIN

WE LITTLE KNEW THAT MORNING,

GOD WAS GOING TO CALL YOUR NAME,

IN LIFE WE LOVED YOU DEARLY,

IN DEATH WE DO THE SAME.

IT BROKE OUR HEARTS TO LOSE YOU,

YOU DID NOT GO ALONE,

FOR PART OF US WENT WITH YOU,

THE DAY GOD CALLED YOU HOME.

YOU LEFT US BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES,

YOUR LOVE IS STILL OUR GUIDE

AND THOUGH WE CANNOT SEE YOU, YOU ARE ALWAYS BY OUR SIDE.

OUR FAMILY CHAIN IS BROKEN,

AND NOTHING SEEMS THE SAME,

BUT AS GOD CALLS US ONE BY ONE,

THE CHAIN WILL LINK AGAIN.

I have been told several good stories about Vernon and his children over the many years. Like the Peacock name comes compassion, honesty, love, forgiveness, empathy, willingness to help others. Always remember the things that you did with your dad and gradfather, those memories will carry with you for the rest of your life. There are only 5-of us left that carry the Peacock name, be proud of what and who you are.
