I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Michael. His mother was a wonderful person and my personal secretary for many years. I knew his late brother Steve better than I knew Michael. I know and have great affection for his sister, Marcia. The family had a great and positive influence on my life. I have tried to contact Marcia but cannot find a phone number for her. Perhaps she will see this and call me. My condolences to Marcia and the rest of Michael's extended family. Phil Cowley 801-424-1518. [email protected].

I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing. My wife called him 'Miguelito.' He was my landlord for a few years in the 90s and when I first got married. Mike was always super sweet to my wife and I, and we were always grateful for his gentle nature. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Thayne family. From Bryan and Lilliana Poe.

Working with and knowing Mike for many years i am saddened by his passing. Many of my fondest memories stem from time spent at Smith Crown working and playing with Mike. Mike taught me the game of golf, more importantly the patience and mind set necessary to play the game properly, i still hear his tip each time i address the ball, "step a little closer Vaughn". Mike watched me throw an errant driver into the lake at Glendale, he looked at me with a wry grin and said "nice throw but you are going to need that club on the next Tee" My friend you will always be part of my favorite foursome!

Dear Kathy, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear husband. I didn't know he was your husband until now. I have gone to Smith Crown for as long as it has been there. I send my sympathy and love to you and your family. May God bless you and give you peace and comfort at this time. Love you Gal. We did have fun in school. You were a dear friend.

My family and I knew Elder Thayne when he was a missionary serving in Knoxville, TN. He had dinner in our home on multiple occasions and was an exemplary missionary who had a very positive influence on both members and non-members in the area. My sister and I now live here in Utah and were saddened to hear of his passing. May God bless your family with His sweet, comforting spirit.
Sincerely,

You all don't know me for I was just a long time customer at Smith Crown. Your dear husband and father was so so kind to me but more importantly so honest and forthright. No matter what my cleaning need was he was always the man I asked for. I appreciated working with him for the past years it was always a comfort to know that someone would take the time and interest in my little worries. So; knowing that what a great example of Christ he must have been to all of you. I will miss him dearly.
