Mollie Peckham Obituary

Mollie S. Peckham1930 ~ 2004  Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mollie S. Peckham, age 74, passed away September 20, 2004 at Highland Care Center from complications resulting from a fall. She was born May 18, 1930 in Pasadena, Ca to John and Sarah Schmuke. Married Vance E. Peckham July 5, 1963 in Los Angeles, Ca. Mollie graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah where she was an active member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was active in PEO, Assistance League, and Westminster Women's Board. She and Dad traveled extensively throughout the world. Mom's hobbies included shopping, "Tuesday" and "Wednesday" bridge with "the girls", going to lunch with Dad, and reading a never-ending supply of books. She also absolutely adored spending time with her only granddaughter, Erin, who she nicknamed "Pooh". Erin and her friends affectionately referred to her as "Bling Bling Grandma." Survived by her husband, Vance, daughter, Adrienne Alward (Dale), step daughter, Polly Peckham, grandchildren, Erin, Adam and Eric, sisters Mary (Bob) McKinney-Stetson and Zoe (Kenny) Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olympus Presbyterian Church, 3280 E. 3900 S. Friends and family may call Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
