Monte Rugg Obituary

Monte Paul Rugg

Jan 17, 1939~Jun 25, 2025

St. George, UT-Monte passed peacefully in St. George, Utah, at age 86.

He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany and France. Afterward, he built a career in painting- and quietly judged walls everywhere he went. Monte married his soulmate, Diana, and they shared over 40 years of love, laughter, and RV road trips. He golfed at sunrise, bet on everything, and usually won. Known for one-liners and warmth, he made people smile.

Survived by wife Diana; children: Joni (Greg), Cherie (Bryan), Trina (Brian), Cami (Don), Sonya (Kris), Wayne (Cheryl); 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Robins (Jeff). Preceded by son Gary, parents, and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am July 2 at: Memorial Estates 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT.
