Nephi Samuel Butterfield

Nephi Samuel Butterfield "Beloved Son of Our Heavenly Father" HERRIMAN- Nephi Samuel Butterfield 92, our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away on May 6, 2009. Dad was born in January 1, 1917 in Herriman, Utah, the son of George Nephi and Eunice Freeman Butterfield. On March 13, 1937, Dad married his school sweetheart Edna Lorraine Bowles. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple in 1946. Dad worked in the Lark Mine, drove a Cat for James Reed Company and worked as a plumber with his brothers-in-law, and son, David. Dad Loved to work out side puttering all the time to make his yard beautiful. Dad held many positions in the LDS church. Survivors: children, Dave (Dot), Bluffdale; Joyce Owens, Riverton; Tonya (Bruce) Holbrook, West Jordan; Karen Walborn, Sandy; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas; two sisters, Jewel (Steve) Madsen and Golda Winward. Preceded in death by wife, Edna; parents; sons-in-law, Bob Owens and Arno Walbom; sisters, Glora Parkin, Flosie Nell and Beth Densley. A special "Thank You" to everyone at Our House in Riverton and Care Source in Holladay for their love and kindness. Funeral services Tuesday May 12, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Herriman 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 6000 West 13100 S. Herriman. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Monday 6:00-8:00 p.m. or at the church Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Herriman Cemetery.
