Norman Dyke Obituary

1922 ~ 2017
Norman William Henry Dyke, born April 10th, 1922 in Warwickshire, England passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2017. Norman was an experienced artist and proficient painter like his father before him. He excelled at using watercolors to illustrate serene landscapes with still imageries. Norman's adoration for painting led him to teach at a Nuneaton art school before enlisting in the Royal Air Force to serve his country during WWII. After the war, he married his beautiful eternal wife, Barbara. Shortly thereafter, they embarked on a journey to start a new chapter in their life to the United States. Aboard the Mauritania, they made their voyage to Ellis Island. Shortly after, they settled down in Salt Lake City and began a family and new lives.
Norman was a devout member of the LDS community which he dearly loved. He will be remembered and cherished always for his wisdom, accomplishments, endearing spirit, and devotion to those he loved. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, son Robert, and daughters Lynwood, and Amanda. He is survived by his son John, and grandchildren Christopher, Adam, Thomas, Andrew, Sarah, and Rachel. Services will be held at Wasatch Lawns Mortuary on November 8th, 2017. Viewing from 10:30am-11:30am, with a graveside service at 11:30am.
