Precious Patty, a trooper to the end. Berlin, my heart goes out to you. Don't we love the sound of Patty's laughter? That woman was ready for anything. I'm grateful for the time I was afforded with you these last years, months, days, minutes. We picked up right where we left off, just like any family member. You will remain in my heart forever. Stay strong, Berlin. You've made Patty proud. Patty, it's your turn to CIP.

Everyone who knew Patty remarked on her work ethic. Whether hauling water from the creek or busting bails of hay for numerous critters or helping brand cattle she kept things working for years while Jim was on the road. From Emily Dickinson: "Because I could not stop for Death, he kindly stopped for me; The carriage held but just ourselves and immortality."

Dear Jim, I am so sorry to read about the loss of your Patty. It sounds like she was an amazing lady, and I'm sorry I didn't know her.
I do know how difficult this time is for you when your pain is still so raw. I hope you will be blessed with a measure of comfort.

Jim, we send our sincere condolences. As you know Bill & I treasure your friendship and that of your dear wife, Patty. Though it has been years,,,I have the greatest memories of Patty and I talking for hours after everyone went on home following wasatch get togethers, sitting in lawn chairs by the gazebo!! She was soooo kind, yet perfectly frank, laughed easily, and was a very interesting wonderful lady:) I treasure those special moments. We shared admiration for Jim, yummy pickled peppers, laughter, some common views and philosophies, along with our passion for family, animals and our winged friends:). She is not suffering any longer and that is reason to be grateful, though your heartache and missing her presence is overwhelming, especially at this time. Jim we treasure you! ... Dear Patty, Rest in Peace and may God Bless YOU and hold you in the warmth of his ever loving arms, Love, The Bedfords
