Peter Sorensen Obituary

1954 ~ 2012
St. George, UT-Peter Knuth Sorensen, age 57, left this life on July 26, 2012, due to complications of pneumonia.
I was born in Tokyo Japan on October 10, 1954. I was the only child of Ted and Tautel Sorensen they were terrific parents, Thanks Mom and Dad. I graduated from Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg Germany 1973, then I received a bachelors degree from Syracuse University on a four year ROTC scholarship in 1977. I served a four year commitment in the Army ending in 1981 at rank of Captain. I received an AAS degree in accounting from Utah Technical College in 1983. I was employed with State of Utah 26 years, most recently as the administrative services manager for the entire Southwest region of DCFS. In 1999 I found and married the love of my life, her name is Cheryl, along with her I had the privilege of a ready made family Stepson Tyler Pugmire (Laurie) and Ashley Sanders (Mike). I also had the wonderous experience of being a Grandpa to Radley and Astoria Sanders. I also have a terrific, extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday August 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Pine View Mortuary, 566 North Mall Drive St. George. I ask that my family, friends and Co Workers, come share a memory or two and help celebrate my life.

I miss you Pete. Thanks for loving my Mother the way she deserved. You were such a funny and caring person. You did a lot for me personally and I will make it up to you somehow. We will miss your great sense of humor. I will try to drive mom delightfully crazy just like you used to to. I love you Peter.
