Dear Rod,Mary,Toni,Lupina and the rest of the Family of Phyllis:
I am Betty's sister. I know what you are going through because I'm still there. My prayers are with all of you and with your mother.I believe that is the most important thing that we can do.
We may have lived enough years to be an adult but we will always be a child in relation to our parents. Even if we find ourselves "parenting our parents" before their deaths, it is the parent of our youth and childhood that we bury.. I read this once and want to share it with you," A person dies...and in our anguish we ask,"Where is God?" Where is God? God is found in the incredible resiliency of the human soul, in our willingness to love though we understand how vulnerable love makes us... By Harold Kushner.
Mourners can do nothing to bring the dead back to life, but companionship is often a great comfort to the survivors.Believe me I know this to be true.

You were the best grandma that we could ever ask for. Even though are family was so big you always had love for all of us and treated everyone with open arms as our family grew through out the years. I am most greatfull to god for blessing us with such a wonderful grandmother and for giving my boys the blessing of knowing their great grandmother. We will always love and miss you grandma. To my in-laws, I will miss mom and I am glad that I was a part of her life. She was a wonderful mother. She brought alot of love into this world and shared it. (We "my family" will miss the tortillas.) Mom, we love you and I know "I WILL MISS YOU."
