Randall Jorgensen Obituary

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, Randy Jorgensen, 68, loving husband, friend, and father of three children passed away at his home in Draper, after a valiant battle with cancer. Randy was surrounded by his family and one of his close friends was also present with his family when he passed.

Randy was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 3,1954 and was immediately adopted by his parents, Eldon and Shirley Jorgensen, who brought him back to Salt Lake City and raised him along with his brother Rick.

Randy met the love of his life, Shauna, in the fall of 1982. They married on August 2, 1989, and together have three beautiful children, Josh Wright, Dana Sneyd and Wes Coulam, along with five perfect grandchildren.

After graduating from Cottonwood High School in 1972, Randy worked in construction until he found his passion in the electronics business with Don Riches in 1990. Randy later worked with Compass Marketing, Front Range Marketing, Crestone Technology Group and BMW of Murray. Randy was currently employed with Veterans Trading Company with one of his best friends, Steve Culligan.

Randy had a passion for golf, BMWs, family and friends. If you ever played a bad round of golf with Randy, he would say "We don't get paid enough to get mad about golf." Randy told us the night before he passed that his favorite golfer was his Dad. His family felt fortunate to be able to watch the Masters by his side on their last weekend together.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eldon and Shirley Jorgensen, cousin, Shawna Davis, aunts, uncles and some very special friends.

Randy is survived by his wife, Shauna Jorgensen, daughter, Dana Sneyd (Matt), son Josh Wright (Amy), son Wes Coulam (Rachel) and his grandchildren, Jacilynn Wright, Jaxon Wright, Avery Coulam, Willa Coulam and Samuel Sneyd. As well, by his brother, Rick Jorgensen (Willi); sister, Mary Jane Schmerberg (Steve); nephews, Jeff and Kerry Jorgensen; aunts and uncles; and countless friends who were his true brothers and sisters.

We would like to thank all of the wonderful people at the Huntsman Cancer Institute who have become part of our family. We love you. A special thanks to: Scott Samuelson, MD, Utah Cancer Specialists; Neejar Agarwal, MD, Huntsman Cancer Institute; Sumati V. Gupta, MD, Huntsman Cancer Institute.

There will be a private celebration of Randy's life held at Randy's home golf course, Meadowbrook GC on Saturday, May 14. 2022. Details to follow. For additional information or to share a memory of Randy with his family, please visit larkincares.com.

Rest in peace my love. You never backed down and everything will be alright.

Got on the computer tonight to do a little work and listen to some great 70's rock. Got to thinking about one of my great friends from high school, Randy. I am so sad to find out that he has passed. He had such a wonderful spirit. I will always remember the great times we had together and how he influenced me. Sorry we (I) never kept in touch, but thanks for all you gave me in those crazy days. They will live forever.

Dad, I am missing you more than ever. Your priceless advice will never be forgotten. I love you more than words can say. I know you have moved on to a better place, But you definitely wanted to stay here, with your family. You fought a strong fight dad, and I miss you more than enything. I thought it would be easier after 4 months but it is hitting harder. I know you got this, and you won't back down!! Forever love

I had the privilege of working with Randy at Front Range Marketing. I just learned of his passing at the EDS show this week. My sympathy goes out to Randy´s family and friends there in Utah. He was a great guy and will be missed by us all.

Randy, my very best friend since 2nd grade. Thanks for all the times you picked me up and dropped me off, you always drove since you had the nicer car. We had a lot of fun together sports, cars, girls. My mom would always tell me to invite you over for dinner.
It has been a good life and I feel privileged to have been your friend for all these years. You left way to soon my brother. I will always think about you.

Love Van

I met Randy 52 years ago at Bonneville Jr High School. He was my first boyfriend and my best friend until we parted ways in 1978. He taught me how to drive his yellow mustang which was his pride and joy. We had lots of fun times partying thru high school with truly wonderful friends and Rick. You never forget your first love. Rest In Peace Randy....
