1947-2025
Pacheco, CA-Randy passed away suddenly on Saturday August 9 doing what he loved, working in his yard with his wife by his side. Randy was born in Huron, SD in 1947 to Clarence and Velma Carlson, both deceased. He met his wife, Cora Lovett, in college and they married in 1969. They had three children, Gy, KC and Tara. Randy and Cora ran a roller skating rink in Aberdeen, SD and eventually moved the family to Lewiston, ID, where they ran a roller skating rink there. In 1982, the family moved to Salt Lake City, UT. Randy started his own carpet cleaning business and did that for many years. He eventually retired his business and started working at Home Depot, where he was well liked and he made friends with everyone that walked in the doors. Randy and Cora moved to Pacheco, CA in February 2025 to be close to Gy and to enjoy the year-round warmer weather.
Randy is survived by his wife, Cora; brothers Doug and Larry; children Gy (Jim), Katy "KC" (Sarah), Tara (Bo) Rosario. Randy had 5 grandchildren who loved him dearly and called him "Papa:" Coby, Aiden, Chase, Tyler, Tori.
Randy was a good-natured man, who loved life and was friends with everyone. His passing leaves a hole in all our hearts.
A small Celebration of Life will be held in SLC at a later date
