Robert D. "Bob" Harris

Robert D. (Bob) Harris 1938 ~ 2009 Robert D. (Bob) Harris, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his home in Heber City, Utah. Bob was born on December 6, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to A. Robert and Lavinia Glenn Harris. Bob served his country for four years with the U.S. Navy as an airplane mechanic aboard the USS Lexington, while stationed at Miramar, CA. Bob married Norma Lyman in 1956. They had four children, later divorced. Bob married Carma Seeley, February 14, 1970 in Heber City, Utah. Carma brought three sons and one daughter into the marriage. They had one more son together, who was born in 1973. Bob was Ranch Manager for Debbie Fields Corporation for eight years and also worked as heavy equipment operator for many years. Bob loved horses and working with them. He was a man with eyes of blue, and a heart so true. Bob could charm anyone with his quick wit and his famous one-liners. Bob loved taking his bride dancing, and he could "cut a rug" like no other. Bob was loved by everyone who knew him, and we all will miss him dearly. Bob is survived by his wife, Carma; children, Terry (Sue), Craig (DeeDee), Lori, Brad (Cindy), Phil (Christine), Pam (Paul), Mike (June), K.C. (Danni), Jamie (Andrea), 22 grandchildren, and 18 great-grand-children; sister, Ruth (Jerry); brother, Neil (Joleen). Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 - 12 Noon in the Heber LDS 12th Ward, 715 East 600 South, Heber City. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church. Interment will follow the services in the Woodland Cemetery, at approx. 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to www.olpinhoopes.com
