Debi and Chelsea,
I remember meeting Chelsea, you and Bob while coaching Chelsea in rec soccer 8-9 years ago. Since then I have always felt a warm and sincere greeting whenever our paths would cross in the community. We might visit for a minute or two and then be on our ways. I always felt a little happier after our chance meetings. Thank you for that! Please know I wish you, Chelsea and the rest of your family the very best in your lives.

Joe and I thought often of Bob and all of you. Seeing him on the news and what he was going through was tough. We have never met such a strong and loving family. Dear Debi, Chelsea and Family,
We just heard about Bob's passing and would like to express our deepest sympathies. I met Bob at Mill Hollow 5 years ago. He was a volunteer Dad at camp with Chelsea. We went for a run and he told me about Debi's fight with Lymphoma. I was inspired to run for Team in Training in honor of Debi. But there was nothing more inspiring than seeing Bob running in the Boston Marathon! You are such an incredibile family and truly are heros to us! Keep dancing for us, Chelsea, and we'll keep running for you:)

Dear Deb, Kids and Family: I just learned about Bob and am so incredibly sad... My memories of his time in Pekin Illinois are rich with wonderful fun family times. The Springfield Holidome trip (NO ONE SLEPT), the parties, birthdays, our kids in their early years. He was a true community leader too.

Bob was my boss at Intermountain Contractor, those years are the source of so many great memories. He was a great example for us to learn from. Bob's style was to give you a gentle push in the right direction, always keeping things in perspective. I went to Poky with Bob. My parents and Bob's parents were good friends as well. I was sad to read of Bob's death in the paper. He was a great person in school and sounds as though he went on to be an even greater person. I am sorry for your loss. It has sent waves through our high school class and we will miss him.

I was privileged enough to serve Bob here in Rehab at the U of U hospital. He was one of my favorite patients and I have often wondered how he was doing. I ran in the salt lake marathon last April and I saw Bob on the sideline, in his wheelchair cheering us on. What an amazing man and such a gentle spirit. I am glad for the brief time that I had to meet him. My prayers go out to Bob's family.

I know you don't know me but I wanted to extend my sympathy to the entire family. My husband passed away in July 2007 from ALS so I know what the family went through and what sadness you feel. I attended school with Bob from 1st grade to graduating in the Class of 71 Pocatello High. I remember going to Bob’s house with other kids (like Bill Petersen) in grade school and watching Super Man on TV in the late 50's
