Robert Paulson Obituary
1935-2024
Salt Lake City, Utah-Bob was born on March 17, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alton and Eva Paulson. He passed away on April 30, 2024, of natural causes.
Bob grew up in Salt Lake but moved with the family to Phoenix during high school. Bob then attended Arizona State University where he met Marcia Warthen whom he married in 1960. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1966 to take over the family real estate development business.
Bob loved bow hunting and the outdoors. He traveled in the U.S., Canada and South Africa fulfilling his passion. This passion led to the creation and second career at Consolidated Field Sports. For many years this archery and taxidermy business was a gathering place for bow hunters.
Soon after moving to Utah, Bob became involved with Beehive Wasatch Bowhunters. The club and its members became lifelong friends.
Duck hunting at Newstate Duck Club filled many chilly mornings for Bob during hunting season. He loved sharing this sport with his friends, son, grandsons and many trusted black labs.
Bob loved entertaining with Marcia by his side. Many good times were had on the outside deck of their homes. He was famous for his watermelon whale filled with fruit.
Bob is survived by his children Christi (Matthew), Robert (Paula) and Julie (Andrew), grandchildren Andrew, Chase, Robert and Miles Paulson, and Caroline and Marshall Wallace and eight great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Cottonwood Creek Senior Living and Inspiration Hospice, especially Jolene, for their compassionate care during his last months of life.
