Robert Robins Obituary
1931 ~ 2013
Passed Away March 14, 2013, at the Salt Lake City V. A. Nursing Home.
He was born to parents, Orson Day Robins and Arneeda Green, in McCammon, Idaho, on December 6, 1931.
Bob lived a full and happy life. He graduated from McCammon High School in 1950 and shortly there after enlisted in the U. S. Navy for four years. He is a veteran of the Korean War.
Bob worked for the State of Utah for 35 years in the Department of Public Safety in Various positions.
Bob was an out going people loving person. No one was ever a stranger to Bob. He loved to talk with everyone.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and one brother and one sister and survived by one sister and nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred R. Robins and two sons, Mark (Debbie) and Les (Wendy) of which he was very proud. There are 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
There will be a private family graveside service on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery 3115 East 7800 south. We will love you always and Bob remember, The Best Is Yet to Be.
We wish to thank the staff at the V.A. Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion given.

To Bob Robins Family,
I worked with Bob in the late 1980's, in law enforcement specfically with Medicaid Fraud and I am deeply sorry for his passing. He was a very nice person and was always helpful to me. He will truly be missed.

Mildred, Mark and Les, I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He was like an assistant father, if there is such a title, to myself and Steve the entire time we lived on DaVinci. I will always be thankful for his setting me up with my first job at 14 and helping me get into the summer Driver's Ed program earlier than my birthday should have allowed. He was always looking out for and willing to help others without expecting anything in kind. He was a helluva camping buddy too! I'll certainly miss him and my family's thoughts and prayers are with yours.

Mildred - I was shocked to hear of Bob's passing. He and I were, as you know, the best of friends when we lived on DaVinci Drive. I will always remember the good times we had with Bob, yourself, and Les and Mark. The obit has it right - he was a wonderful man, always willing to help anyone, and a joy to be around. My, how the time does fly. It doesn't seem possible that Bob is gone. I am just grateful to be his friend and will remember and cherish our friendship for the rest of my life.
