Ronald Erickson Obituary
He was so proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy. He married Elaine Shaw on October 6, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked for IBM for 33 years then finished his career working for the State of Utah.
Ron's greatest joy was his family. He loved and supported them in all their activities. He loved classical music and photography. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wally. He is survived by his eternal sweetheart Elaine and children - Patty (Reed), Sheryl (Todd), Mike (Sharon) and Brian (JaNece), 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Bob (Renee) and Steve (Jan).
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Russon Mortuary, 295 No. Main Street, Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3rd at 11:00 AM at the North Canyon 5th Ward chapel at 2505 So. Davis Blvd, Bountiful with a viewing at the chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book and full obituary at www.russonmortuary.com.

Ron and Elaine were my home teachers for a number of years. During that time I was experiencing deep personal trials. While meeting in their home Ron was always concerned about my situation. On several occasions he gave me blessings of comfort, support and direction. He never missed a chance to greet me whenever he saw me. He was such an interesting storyteller about his life. His love and loyalty for his country and family were unmatched. Elaine has always been by his side with her love, compassion and service. Together their legacy has impacted many lives especially their family.

Elaine,
I worked at the State of Utah with your husband until his retirement there. I remember spirited discussions (we didn't always agree on a lot of things)! I also remember his deep and abiding affection for you. What a blessing it was for me to have know him. Please accept my sincere condolences. I am confident that he is working hard, as he always did, to provide for you in another sphere.
